Keep Your Level 3 Qualification Current — In a Single Day
The FAA Level 3 Supervising First Aid for Mental Health certificate is valid for three years. This requalification course is the official route to renewing it — refreshing and reinforcing your knowledge of the full range of mental health conditions covered at Level 3, including the First Aid Action Plan, drugs and alcohol, mental health in the workplace, stress and the comprehensive range of conditions from the Level 3 syllabus.
The requalification course covers the same breadth of content as the original Level 3 qualification in a condensed one-day format — designed for learners who already hold the knowledge and need to refresh, update and formally renew their certificate for a further three years.
QAN: 603/3770/9 · Minimum 6 contact hours · New certificate valid 3 years · Age 16+
On successful completion of the written assessment and practical scenario, delegates receive a new FAA Level 3 certificate valid for three years from the date of achievement.

Who Can Attend This Requalification Course?
This course is exclusively for existing Level 3 certificate holders. You must hold — or have recently held — one of the qualifications listed below to attend. Your trainer will check your current or expired certificate dates at the start of the session as required by the FAA Qualification Specification.
You must currently hold, or have held within the last 3 months:
- FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (Ofqual, England)
- FAA Award in Leading First Aid for Mental Health at SCQF Level 6 (SQA, Scotland)
If your Level 3 certificate has expired for more than 3 months you will need to complete the full two-day Level 3 qualification rather than this requalification course. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please call us before booking and we will advise.
