About This Programme

Negotiation Skills Training — A Structured Framework for Every Negotiation You Will Ever Face

Most people negotiate by instinct — relying on personality, rapport and improvisation. Against a well-prepared counterpart, instinct loses. The difference between a good outcome and a great one is almost always preparation, structure and technique — and those are skills that can be taught, practised and embedded.

This full-day programme gives managers, sales professionals and business leaders the complete PROBE negotiation framework — Prepare, Research, Open, Bargain, Execute — along with BATNA strategy, anchoring, tactical empathy and practical deadlock-breaking tools. Every element is practised through live role play so delegates leave with a personal negotiation strategy they can deploy immediately.

Programme Outline

Full-Day Negotiation Skills Training Programme

Morning Session
PROBE Stages 1–3: Prepare, Research & Open

Delegates build their complete negotiation preparation framework — identifying objectives, BATNA, variables and opening positions — then apply research techniques to understand the counterpart's interests and constraints. They practise anchoring effectively in the critical opening phase and use skilled questioning to uncover what the other side really needs.

Afternoon Session — Part 1
PROBE Stages 4–5: Bargain & Execute

Delegates apply the golden rules of concession trading — giving conditionally and never unilaterally — counter pressure tactics, ultimatums and manipulation, and practise closing without burning the relationship. A live role play negotiation with structured debrief embeds the complete framework under realistic conditions.

Afternoon Session — Part 2
Deadlock, Advanced Tactics & Personal Negotiation Strategy

Delegates master deadlock-breaking techniques, identify and counter the most common negotiation manipulation tactics, and leave with a personal negotiation strategy — a preparation template and planned approach for their three most important upcoming negotiations.
